Regardless of whether you spent your youth listening to tunes on a transistor radio or an Ipod, you will find the music of the Kingsmen to be a rockin’ good time.  The Kingsmen started their band in a garage in Portland, Oregon in 1959. As teenagers, they played high school parties, teen dances, supermarket openings, and fashion shows. Like many fledgling bands of the day, they copied what they heard on the radio: Elvis, The Ventures, country music, R&B, and the burgeoning Northwest Sound.

In 1963 The Kingsmen catapulted to the top of the national music scene with their recording of “Louie Louie”.  They became rock icons when the FBI launched a 2 year investigation into the song’s lyrics. Stars of the concert scene, television and movies, The Kingsmen rubbed elbows with the Rolling Stones, Kinks, Beach Boys, The Byrds, Righteous Brothers and Lovin’ Spoonful.  In 1965 they were the #1 touring band in the United States, setting 56 consecutive attendance records. Hits like “Money”, “Little Lupe Lu” and “Jolly Green Giant” earned The Kingsmen the reputation of “the greatest party band of all time”. Today band members, Dennis Mitchell, Mike Mitchell, Todd McPherson, Steve Peterson and Dick Peterson continue to provide audiences with an entertaining and memorable show that will put a smile on your face, a groove in your step and will make you want to put your hands up and shout "party on"!
